 Operation Muskie Veterans for 2013 

 

Operation Muskie provides recent combat veterans with the fishing trip of a lifetime on Lake of the Woods.   Each year this event pairs a new group of 20 vets with 10 of the world's greatest fishing guides for an all-expenses-paid, fully-guided "welcome home" at world-famous Baystore Camp.

 

20 Applicants will be selected for 2013 Operation Muskie.  Download an application below.   Application process starts January 1, 2013 and ends February 28, 2013.  If interested in applying, download an application, complete and email to application@operationmuskie.com.

 
Once applications are completed and returned, all applicants will be reviewed.  2013 Veterans selected will be notified and receive OM schedule information in March, 2013.  Correspondence will continue through to arrival at Bay Store Camp on Lake of the Woods. 

 
2013 Operation Muskie is scheduled for 24-28 June 2013.
  • Each selected Veteran is required to provide own transportation to and from Warroad, MN.
  • We will depart Warroad, MN at approximately 0900 on 24 June and return to Warroad by noon on 28 June.
  • Operation Muskie will cover the costs of all lodging, meals, guides and basic fishing equipment during the trip.
  • Muskie fishing experience is NOT required.
  • If selected as a primary or alternate to join OM 2013, you will need both a Passport and Remote Area Border Crossing:
  • Operation Muskie will assist you with the process for obtaining the RABC and passport if necessary.

Now is the time to apply! Operation Muskie 2013 is scheduled for 24-28 June 2013.

Eligible veterans must have deployed OCONUS in direct support of combat operations since 2001. If selected, you may be asked to provide proof of military service dates and deployment locations (i.e., DD 214).

Operation Muskie will select 20 Veterans from all applications received between 1 January 2013 and 28 February 2013.

 

  • Application must be completed by the Veteran.
  • Completed applications must be emailed to application@operationmuskie.com  before midnight 28 February 2013
  • Each selected Veteran is required to provide own transportation to and from Warroad, MN
  • We will depart Warroad, MN at approximately 0900 on 24 June and return to Warroad by noon on 28 June.
  • Operation Muskie will cover the costs of all lodging, meals, guides and basic fishing equipment during the trip.
  • Muskie fishing experience is NOT required.
  • Selections and notifications will be made by Mar 15, 2013.
  • If selected as a primary or alternate to join OM 2013, you will need both a Passport and Canadian Remote Area Border Crossing (RABC) permit. Operation Muskie will assist you with the process for obtaining the RABC and passport if necessary.
